Fisheries Resource Assessment and Informatics (FRAI) Division
This Division is located at the institute headquarter in Barrackpore. The main thrust area of the Division is to make assessment of different aspects of inland fishery resources viz., rivers, estuaries, wetlands, reservoirs etc. emphasising habitats, productivity, biodiversity, environmental stressors and their impact over time and space using various tools and techniques. The Division is also responsible to investigate scientific data and information on fisheries resources in relation to structure, properties, history, methods, organization, and information communication system.
