ICAR-CIFRI Conducts Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Phase-II Training to Strengthen Public Service Delivery

The ICAR–Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (ICAR-CIFRI) organized a day-long Training Programme under Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Phase-II at its headquarters with the objective of strengthening professional competence and improving public service delivery. A total of 43 employees participated in the programme, comprising 21 scientists, 11 technical officers, seven administrative officials and four skilled support staff, reflecting the institute’s inclusive approach to capacity building across all cadres.
The training was conducted by two master trainers, Mr. Palash Tiwari, Finance & Accounts Officer, ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata, and Mr. Prateek Gaur, Finance & Accounts Officer, ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi, who shared insights on the Rashtriya Karmayogi framework and its relevance to effective governance. Interactive sessions focused on developing a service-oriented mindset, ethical conduct, accountability and efficiency in public administration, with emphasis on creating meaningful “karmayogi moments” in day-to-day official work.
The programme highlighted the role of continuous learning and behavioral transformation in achieving excellence in public service. It concluded with an address by the Director, ICAR-CIFRI, who encouraged participants to apply the learnings in their professional responsibilities and contribute to a responsive, citizen-centric administrative system.
