ICAR-CIFRI, Prayagraj celebrated Ganga Utsav 2021

ICAR-CIFRI celebrated Ganga Utsav 2021 during 1st-3rd November, 2021 under Namami Gange programme and different activities were performed. On the 1st November ‘Ganga Mashal’ (lantern) run was organized from Lete Hanuman Mandir to Sangam Nose, Prayagraj and an awareness programme was also conducted at the end of the event. Ganga Aarti & Deepdan were performed at Ramghat and Ganga pledge was taken at the end of the occasion on 2nd November. On the last day i.e. 3rd November Ganga Goshthi (conference) was organized at Minto Park, Prayagraj to sensitize the people for keeping Ganga clean and unpolluted. The whole event was organized with the collaboration of Namami Gange, Ganga Vichar Manch, District Ganga Samiti, Ganga Task Force and Forest department of Uttar Pradesh. Different speakers addressed the gathered mass on different occasions. Dr. Dharm Nath Jha (Scientis-in-charge), Dr Abasar Alam (Scientist), Dr. Kalpana Srivastava (CTO), Shri Saket Kumar Srivastav (CTO), Shri Vijay Kumar (STO), Dr Sandeep Kumar Mishra (YP-II), Shri Sushil Kumar Verma (YP-II), Shri Shiv Janam Verma (YP-I) and others actively participated and help in organisation of this programme.
