One week Online Training Programme was conducted at ICAR-CIFRI, Prayagraj

ICAR-CIFRI, Prayagraj conducted an one week online training programme on “अंतर्स्थलीय खुले जल में वैज्ञानिक हस्तक्षेप के माध्यम से मछुआरों की आय में वृद्धि” from 4th October to 11th October 2021. A total of 144 fishers, fish farmers, students, department officials, and fish businessmen from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Manipur and Telangana states applied for the training and base on complete information 100 participated in the training. Dr. B K Das, Director ICAR-CIFRI, Barrackpore gave a brief introduction of importance & impact of training on fish production and wished for success. Dr. D. N. Jha, Senior Scientist (In-Charge) described in short, the different aspects of fish and fisheries to the trainees. Scientists of the Centre, Dr. Absar Alam, Dr. Venkatesh Thakur, Mr. Shravan Kumar Sharma, Mr. Jeetendra Kumar and Dr. Monika Gupta shared their knowledge through lectures on various aspects of advanced fish farming in open waters viz. Cage culture, Pen culture, Project formulation and Govt. schemes. The participants were interested in new and advanced techniques of fish farming. Main aim of this training was to enhance livelihood of the trainees using advanced scientific methods of fish farming. A Training e-Manual was launched on the closing session of the training programme which consists chapters on the classes taken during the on-line training programme.
