ICAR-CIFRI celebrates 75th Independence day

75th Independence day, Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrated at ICAR- Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (CIFRI), Barrackpore with great forward.
The programme started with the march past by the security guards from the Director's residence to the lobby of the main building of CIFRI.All members, staffs, scientists, research scholars were gathered along with their family members for the Independence day celebration.
On this occasion Dr. B. K. Das, Director, ICAR-CIFRI, hoisted the national flag in the grand ceremony. In his address he congratulated all the members of ICAR-CIFRI on the occasion of 75th anniversary of Indian independence. He thanked everyone for working together and getting the prestigious award of Sardar Patel best ICAR institute of 2020. He again thanked all CIFRIANS for contributing to the nation cause despite of the COVID-19 pandemic situation. He emphasized about the SCSP and TSP programme towards the livelihood improvement of fishermen communities of Jharkhand, Odisha, Chattisgarh and West Bengal. He also added that in last five years four technologies have been commercialized and accepted in agro-climatic condition, four patent, six trademarks and 2 designs have already been registered. He asked everyone to work 100% for the greater success of ICAR-CIFRI.
