CIFRI Awards
ICAR-CIFRI celebrated Annual Sports-2020 during 25th and 27th January 2020 at Barrackpore Head Quarter. The events were inaugurated by Dr. B.K. Das, Director, ICAR-CIFRI by flying pigeon as a symbol of peace. He urged all the staff including contractual and research scholar to involve in the two days different sports events with true sportsman spirit and develop kinship among others. The Divisional HoD of FREM Division and In-charge HoDs of REF and RWF Divisions also attended the events and advocated the importance of the sports. The sports events were started with 100 m race for both men’s and women’s in two respective categories (greater than 45 years and less than 45 years). Different individual’s indoor (carom, chess, badminton and TT) and outdoor sports events (athletics) were conducted for both the men’s and women’s participants including team events like cricket, volleyball, tug of war, etc. Attractive prizes were arranged for the winners of the respective events. The overall sports events were well coordinated by Dr. Dibakar Bhakta, Mr. Tasso Tayung, Shri Sukhen Das and Shri Prabodh Mahata with the support of CIFRI, Recreational Club.
