MoU signed between ICAR-CIFRI and SJVNL, Dehradun

The ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute, Barrackpore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVNL), Dehradun at Barrackpore on 15th October 2019. The MoU has been linked for the consultancy service on “Study on viable and feasible alternatives on the blocked migratory movement of fish species due to construction of Naitwar, Mori HE Project”. The study period is two years, with an total out lay of Rs. 1,31,12,160.00 (One crore thirty one lakhs twelve thousand one hundred and sixty only). The study majorly focuses on the migratory behavior, delineation of migratory paths and reproductive biology of fish species available at the Hydroelectric project site, Mori, Uttarkashi District, Uttarakhand. In addition, ICAR-CIFRI would generate data on the fundamental biological information such as attractive flows, depth, velocity of the targeted fish species for designing of Fish passages. Dr. B.K. Das, Director, ICAR-CIFRI and Mr. Siraj Swan, Sr. Manager, SJVNL signed the MoU in presence of all the associated scientific and project staffs of ICAR-CIFRI, Barrackpore and SJVNL, Dehradun.
