Training Workshop for Newly Recruited Administrative Staff of ICAR Institutes from 2nd to 4th September

A Training Workshop was organized by ICAR-CIFRI, Barrackpore at the Institute Headquarters for the newly recruited administrative staff of four ICAR Institutes. This training workshop was mainly aimed to impart an overall idea of administrative functions held at ICAR Institutes. 18 participants from NRC Mithun Nagaland, ICAR-CRIJAF, ICAR-NINFET and ICAR-CIFRI took part in the training. The three day workshop involved deliberations on a wide variety of topics like Rate Contracts and Works, GFR and Financial matters, Establishment matters, GeM and E-procurement, Handling of Court Cases, Pension Matters, Noting Drafting, RTI and Office procedure etc. The classes were taken by esteemed administrative personnel like Shri P. K. Jain, CAO, Shri Kr. Rajesh, CAO, Shri Pushpanayak CAO, Shri N. K. Jha. SAO, Shri I. B. Kumar, SAO, Shri K. C. Das, Retd. SAO, Shri N. V. R. N. Murthy, SFAO. The training workshop was coordinated by Shri Rajeev Lal, CAO, ICAR-CIFRI who himself conducted classes on administrative management. There were a total of 12 sessions held during the workshop. The first day, 2nd September, 2019 was inaugurated by Dr. B. K. Das, Director, ICAR-CIFRI followed by formal introduction by all. The training workshop was more of an interactive session where the participants put forward different problems faced by them in office procedures and effective solutions being given by the talented set of guides. In addition the Assistant Administrative Officers of ICAR-CIFRI also extended help to solve the real time problems faced by the participants of NRC, Mithun. The valedictory session was held on 4th September, 2019 wherein certificates were given away to all the participants. The Director, ICAR-CIFRI encouraged everybody to take part more in such interactions which would eventually lead to smooth functioning and quick disposal of services.
