CIFRI Awards
Smt. Mercykutty Amma, Hon’ble Minister for Fisheries, Harbour Engineering and Cashew Industry, Government of Kerala visited ICAR- CIFRI Research Centre, Bangalore on 06 August, 2019. She was accompanied by Mr. B. Ignatius Mandro, Joint Director of Fisheries (Inland), Dept. of Fisheries, Govt. of Kerala and Dr. T. Mahesh, Dy. Director, Directorate of Fisheries, Govt. of Karnataka. A presentation on ICAR-CIFRI technologies, activities of the Centre and impact of ICAR-CIFRI technologies on inland fisheries sector in various states was made by Dr. Preetha Panikkar, Office-in-charge. The minister visited the laboratories and interacted with the scientists. She appreciated the institutes activities and shared her interest in collaborating the development programs of Kerala Govt. with ICAR-CIFRI.
