Under graduate students were trained under ‘Student Ready’ programme

ICAR-CIFRI conducted an ‘On-campus’ training for 30 under graduate students from College of Fisheries , WBUA&FS, Kolkata during 28-31 st January at it’s HQ, Barrackpore. It was under “Student ready programme” which is also a part the course curriculum of B.FSc Students i. e. Fisheries Work Experience programme . The training programme was conducted to improve the quality of higher education through on farm –experiences and also to and promote fisheries as means of livelihood among the youth. The programme was organized in a structured manner. Classroom sessions followed by lab sessions were arranged for the students. The research areas of ICAR-CIFRI was explained to them by the HODs and by the experts of the Institute. The four days training was ended up with an evaluation session which was by Dr.B.K Behera, PS and I/C PME Cell,ICAR-CIFRI.
